About me

Corina Simon is a young international peaceworker from Romania. She is currently Youth and Peace Project Coordinator at the Center of Unity Schweibenalp in Switzerland. She is managing the GREEN PHOENIX conferences since 2012. Corina works actively for the promotion and establishment of infrastructure for peace as Member of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructure for Peace. As a junior trainer in peacebuilding she has been involved in children and youth participation in the peace programme of Save the Children Norway in regional workshops in Africa and Central America. Corina began action for peace in 2005 at the Romanian peacebuilding NGO Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania. She has also been involved in a consultancy on operational violence prevention for the Commonwealth Secretariat and contributed to an Operational Guidance Note on Mediation and Good Offices for the inter-governmental organisation. Corina is deepening her experience in peacebuilding through joining inner peace practices, developing youth trainings and projects, enabling peacemaking processes and peace initiatives development as well as supporting various peacebuilding organizations and individuals upon request. She has Bsc in Computer Science from Babes-Bolyai University, Romania.

She has obtained Trainer status in Dragon Dreaming in January 2012.
